With the return of hot weather, it is time once again to look for refreshing cold drinks like this one. Iced drinks are popular in coffee shops and this one is not only easy to make, but also low in calories at 135 calories per serving. Enjoy!
Ingredients: (for one serving)
6 coffee ice cubes
1/2 cup 1% milk
2 Tb. nesquik chocolate powder
1 tsp. chocolate syrup to drizzle on top (if desired)
Put 6 ice cubes into magic bullet cup (or use blender)
Add 2 Tb. nesquick powder
Add 1/2 cup 1% milk
Blend in magic bullet or blender. This will take a couple of minutes. It helps to pulse the machine to break up the ice cubes. Do take the cup off the base and shake occasionally.
Drizzle chocolate syrup on top, if desired
I use President's Choice decaffeinated Vanilla Hazelnut coffee so my daughter can enjoy these without the caffeine. I make the coffee ahead of time and freeze in ice cube trays. Alternately, you can simply freeze coffee you do not use.
