There seems to be a lot of interest in gluten-free living these days, and just recently I heard that this is popular in Hollywood as well. Who knew that we are keeping up with the stars? When I talk to people about going gluten-free a lot of questions come up about what one eats and I thought it might help to show some products we have come across. Believe it or not, we do not think that we are suffering and we do not go hungry.
We love these crackers! I have seen them at Extra Foods, Superstore and at Costco
My Uncle John introduced these to me. You can buy them at London Drugs and I like them with natural peanut butter. They are good with tuna salad as well.
Brown rice pasta. I have seen this product at Nature's Fare and most grocery stores. What I like about this package is the fun shapes. I guess I am a kid at heart.
These square cakes are great in place of bread. Sarah likes these with peanut butter for breakfast when she isn't having a smoothie. I have seen these at a variety of grocery stores as well as costco.
Freybe is a brand to look for if you are buying sausage as their products are gluten free.
Recently, I came across gluten-free "squirrely bread" in the freezer section at Save-On Foods. I had two coupons and bought two loaves, but I was not too impressed with the bread. The price was far better than what I have seen at Nature's Fare, but let's face it gluten-free bread is not quite the same as bread made with wheat. That said, I do have a good recipe for gluten-free french bread which I will post in the future.
