Almond Cranberry Protein Balls

This recipe comes from Megann Rodhe, a personal trainer and an olympic athlete here in Kamloops. These are delicious!  Today I am making these with oat bran instead of wheat germ.

1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/4 cup hemp hearts
1/4 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup raw pumpkin seeds
2 heaping scoops chocolate whey protein powder (or flavour of your choice)
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
2 tsp. cinnamon

Combine all of thes ingredients in a food processor and pulse until well blended. Once blended, combine in a bowl. Now add:
1/2 - 1 cup almond butter
1/4 -1/2 cup agave nectar (or honey)

Combine well. Roll into balls and place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. If balls are crumbling, then ad more agave nectar or honey. Freeze until solid. Store in the fridge or freezer.
